Digital Agreement
All learners enroled at Ormiston Primary School sign a digital agreement http://ormistonprimary.schooldocs.co.nz/ All Learners must be responsible digital citizens, when using their school email address, Google account, and school digital resources. Caregivers are encouraged to go through the digital agreement with their children.
Online Safety Hub
Our online safety hub is a place caregivers can access trusted online safety advice and is a partnership with Linewize.
Developed by our team of world-renowned Online Safety Experts, the Hub is designed to engage and align the community on online safety and wellness by providing up-to-date and evidence-based information to all key stakeholders of a child’s life.
Parents will find a rich library of helpful resources, including app reviews, how-to guides, and advice on an array of online safety topics. School staff and leaders have access to an array of practical guides and information that can be used in the classroom or to inform school governance.

Digital Subscriptions and Resources
At Ormiston all our learners are set up with google accounts and emails and are given access to a variety of digital learning resources. These include;

- Matific
- Reading Eggs – years 1 and 2
- Ormiston Primary School Reading Platform – years 3-6
Learners may bring their own device to school and join the BYOD connection, but bringing a device is not compulsory. The school does have a number of shared devices available.
As per the digital agreement, all devices brought to school are the learner’s responsibility and the insurance for the device is the caregiver’s responsibility. The school holds no responsibility for any loss or damage which might occur.
